Best Western Plus Hotel Subic, a new midscale hotel in Subic, Philippines has just been launched.
Spice.ph was among those which were invited to witness the formal launching event on December 3, 2015.
Best Western Plus Hotel Subic offers 77 midscale rooms, all featuring flat-screen TVs, mini-bars, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Strategically located along the Subic Bay coastline inside the Subic Freeport Zone, about 100km north of Manila, the new Best Western Plus Hotel Subic is the first midscale hotel in the area with an international brand.
The hotel is located just a stone’s throw-away to Olongapo City and shopping malls, corporate offices of business locators, creating a suitable venue for businessmen to hold conferences and other corporate events.
Set in a brand new building with modern style, the hotel also features a range of facilities for both business and leisure travelers.
“Best Western Plus Hotel Subic intends to hold corporate events away from the inconvenient traffic in Manila,” Best Western Plus Subic’s Co-owner and COO Moishe Gordon told Spice.ph and DWDD.com.ph.
“Our global brand is known for cutting-edge facilities, expert management and first-rate maintenance, and we made sure to fit all of those with the unique flavor of Filipino hospitality and culture,” Gordon said.
“We’re committed to providing superior customer care. That’s how Best Western Plus Hotel Subic plans to complete a visitor’s stay in this side of the country,” Gordon said.
During the launching program, Gordon detailed how Best Western Plus Subic delivers premium service without the premium price tag, as shown by the above-average scores it received in the International Quality Assurance Assessment for all Best Western hotels.
Best Western Plus Hotel Subic is the seventh Best Western in the Philippines, joining existing properties in Manila, Makati City, Cebu City and the resort-island of Boracay and is also the country’s third upscale Best Western Plus hotel following the Best Western Plus Antel Hotel in Makati City and Best Western Plus Lex Cebu.
Best Western Plus Hotel Subic is a part of the Philippines-based Savers Group of Companies, which also owns Fortune HK Seafood Restaurant Chain, and Cable TV Operations (ACCTN).
In a statement given to Spice.ph, Olivier Berrivin, Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ Managing Director of International Operations – Asia said: “The Philippines is an incredibly important market for Best Western, and I am delighted to be able to welcome guests to our first ever hotel in Subic Bay – another exciting destination for our company.”
“The Subic Bay Freeport Zone is a vitally important industrial area for the Philippines, and the broader Asia Pacific region. And the area’s impressive beaches and marine attractions are making Subic Bay an increasingly popular tourism destination. I am confident that Best Western Plus Hotel Subic will become a key addition to the area’s travel and hospitality landscape,” Berrivin also said in the statement.
Completing Subic Experience
“Aside from its clear blue waters perfect for a relaxing getaway, Subic is also home to famous theme parks for the family, as well as several adventure spots for thrill-seekers. These beaches and attractions are only within walking distance or a few kilometers away from the hotel, making it convenient for guests to explore the attractions in the area,” Best Western Plus Subic statement said.
“These destinations, however, fill only half of a visitor’s experience. A relaxing place to stay is half as important as the tourist spots of any city or region,” Gordon said.
New brand identity
Best Western Plus Hotel Subic of the Best Western Hotels & Resorts global chain is the first worldwide to use the new Best Western logo and identity.
“The old logo, which had been around for 22 years, was updated to a modernized and neater version in order to broaden the appeal of the brand, particularly among millennials,” Gordon said.
“Best Western Plus Hotel Subic is a testament of the hotel chain’s promise of quality improvement. We are honored to be the first to carry the new visual identity of the brand since this is part of the exciting developments the company has invested in the last decade,” Gordon said.
