Caviteños can now enjoy free wifi access thru Lingkod Kabitenyo, the Provincial Government’s free WiFi project for schools and households which was launched at Cavite State University-Rosario campus on December 4, 2015.


Another brainchild of Governor Jonvic Remulla, it aims to provide wireless connectivity to the public that will speed up access to information and other activities over the internet.

With the governor during the launch was Vice President Jejomar Binay who lauded the Lingkod Kabitenyo program and vowed to replicate the project nationwide given the chance to be the next president of the Philippines.
The PGC’s Free WiFi Internet Access in all schools will start on December 10 and will be fully implemented next year. Every household will also be given one hour of free access everyday.

Earlier that day, Gov. Remulla and VP Binay together with Senator Gringo Honasan, Ex- Congresman Boying Remulla and Atty. Harry Roque attended the Kalinga sa Kalikasan project of the provincial government in Ligtong, also in Rosario. They were welcomed by former Provincial Administrator Renato Abutan, former Vice Mayor Jingjing Hernandez and other local officials of the town.

They also visited Brgy. Julugan in Tanza where they had a boodle fight breakfast with local and barangay officials led by Vice Mayor Yuri Pacumio.

In the afternoon, the governor and VP Binay’s group graced the Barangay Health Workers and Barangay Nutrition Scholars’ General Assembly at Indang Municipal Covered Court. Around 3,000 BHW and 500 BNS received their quarterly incentives from the provincial government. Aside the incentives, the governor promised to distribute smart phones to all the BHWs and BNS next year.

Senator Roman Romulo who was also one of the guests shared his advocacy for top ten students to study in State Universities free of charge which was passed into a law and his proposed measure creating a barangay skilled worker registry.

The presence of VP Binay, Senator Romulo, Atty. Allan Montaño, Gen. Napeñas and Atty. Harry Roque and other officials added significance to the event especially when Gov. Remulla stressed that the development of Cavite will continue with the help of VP Binay if he becomes president.

The group also went to the Barangay Ko Alerto program in three locations: Barangay Luciano in Trece Martires City with Ms. Alma Moreno; Barangay San Francisco in Dasmariñas City, and in Noveleta, Cavite.
